Hi we have caravanned with our youngest and never worried about sleeping in the van. He had a Thomas bed with bumpers and cushions on the floor in case he fell out. We found it easiest to put him to bed when he fell, normally around 8 pm, this was when he was approx 1 yr, since then and he has grown up with the van and depending on time of year, we still have routine i.e. play(all day), around 8.30 pm Shower / Bath (toddler room) and then story and drink, and to bed by 9 - 9.30 pm.

Our van has fixed bunks at the rear. Daughter was on top bunk but has migrated to lower bunk whilst 6yr now sleeps in top bunk and loves it.

Dont worry about sleep arrangements and it putting you off, its all part of the fun of the holiday.

Too many people these days put too much emphasis on doing this and that, holidays are about chilling for both mums and dads / adults and children alike.

Best thing we evre did was getting a van and the kids love it. Dark night walks in the autumn, late nights playing in the summer and snowmen and snowball fights in winter, year round fun fun fun.

enjoy
