Ok, I posted the other week asking for reviews on the Kampa caravan covers.

After some good feedback i went ahead and bought one.

I thought I’d best get it out the packet and have a go at putting it on the caravan before i take it back to the storage yard.

It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

In fact i did it ALL single handed.

I first laid the cover out flat on the floor, un-zipped the front and back zip.
Then with the outside of the cover facing up I folded both the sides into the middle twice so that it was long and thin. I then rolled the cover into a sausage from the front to the back.

I then put the cover on to roof at the back of the van, rolled out the sausage and dropped the sides down by going round the van with a step ladder. Zipped the sides up and then fitted the straps.

All on my own this took me 6 minutes.

To remove the cover i did exactly the same but in reverse order ready to out on again when I get to the storage unit.

The only thing I did notice that I’m a bit worried about is where the cover sits on the awning rails at the bottom corners as these seem sharp.
My solution is to get some awning skirt and cut it up to make some protection cavers similar to the ones that come with the Pro-Tec covers.
Also i noticed that the rain drip rail at the front may also rub the cover so I have cut a hole in a tennis ball and pushed it onto the rail ends.

I find small blocks of polystyrene work just as well. You can shape them to fit into the bottom of the rails.

Yes, youve hit the nail on the head there.

My cover has a small hole now at the bottom of the awaning rail !
