how much would one be worth now which has been used 4 times and comes complete with top of the range everything inc self seeking sat dish, unused isabella awning, text service alde heating ect, full book of receipts to the value of nearly £35,000!
how do these compare to the new style solid type body shells ect? and would it be worth the massive outlay needed to buy opposed to keeping my 2007 coachman amara 640/6 which to be fair is a great van?
dont know much about the elddis but i would reckon for a 2011 model you wouldnt get much change out of 20grand tbh basing that on theres a 2011 crusader tempest on sale at 18995 and if im not mostaken the superstorm is a slightly higher spec??
as for the other part of your question of your current van meets your needs and you like it,then tbh why change?(just my opinion of course)
and merry xmas and good luck if you decide to change vans

Yeah £20,000 is the price and I would be lucky to get £9,000 for mine
My vaen is just about spot on with the young kids in the fixed bunks.
Seems a lot to justify a few extras like the heating system etc,
Still not far off half price for an 18 month old van!
Normal economics don't apply to luxury purchases. If you want it & can afford it, buy it. Any caravan is just a box to sleep in at the end of the day but if you don't want to apply cold logic then initial purchase price & depreciation do not need to be considerations.
To be honest. I cant see were you get 35 grand from, brand new superstorm is around 25 grand, £300 tops for the telematic to send tx to the heating.grand for the awning, depending which dish it has £1500.brand new.
so deduct the vat they paid, deprecation etc.But if you have seen the purchase receipt for the van and awning so be it.
My van is the same spec.with a penta awning and a Tracker.Think i be lucky to get 20 grand, and the van has only done 360 miles, now parked up on a seasonal pitch.

We bought an Elddis crusader Tempest DIamond jubilee model this year at the show and it cost us just under 25k. Its our first Elddis, weve always had Baileys. They are expensive but you get what you pay for! We absolutely love this van, the build quality is really good and the interior finish is much better than any of our other caravans. Its not the new bodywork model but it looks good and the alde heating keeps us warm. We will be out in it on 2nd Jan. If you can afford it then buy it, if your happy with current van then keep it! We only changed our Bailey Unicorn because we were having so many problems with it, and they were serious problems not just niggles so we cut our losses, plus, the layout of the tempest suited us with having two young children and a dog, the fixed bed was great but not enough living space for us so thats another reason we changed. We will be keeping this one for years and probably stay away from shows/forecourts then we arent tempted!
I know 35k is a lot for a Caravan but I am thinking that's the complete price inc winter wheels, Caravan cover and all the various extras like the fabrics and sat dish.
Still seems a lot though especially as it's not the new solid body she'll.
Would the build quality be up there with coachmans?

We've bought the 2013 Tempest. We chopped in our Sterling Elite Amber for this as we wanted more functional living space with the kids. Build quality does seem to have edge on previous van and layout is spot on for us and Alde heating .. Say no more .. Could not live without it.. Off out in it tomorrow for 10 days
