Sounds like Hi-De-Hi but its not at all like that. Someimes the stewards will have a noticeboard outside their van to let you know if there's any organised activity but its very much up to you what you do. Once you get to know the people it is nice to have tea round the pole before you leave, to hear about upcoming meets etc. My husband thought it was a weird thing to do at first but now he happily heads off with his chair & his cup!

Eh, I'm going to the wrong rallies. Nearest thing to meeting round the flag pole is the few times been told at booking in, Tea / coffee being served tomorrow at what ever time for a meet and greet or games organised at whenever if we are interested. If going to an specific group such as folk dancing then I always tell them I am a voyeur never had a problem. Also when we wanted to join in, Jubilee for example welcomed in by total strangers.

I went for a week at a THS in June organised by the C&CC Club. It was my first time, and I did wonder how I would go on for a whole week without EHu - but all was fine. Very friendly, and the wardens were on hand to help, it was a great experience and one that I hope to repeat this year.

Hot water bottles are a must!
