Hi all,
Happy New Year to everyone,
I hope somebody will be able to help us, we are currently in the process of researching suitable narrow caravans. Heres our deliema..the van we are after must be less than 6ft 10 inches in width. I have a longish drive way so lenght isn't a problem. Its the width. The house was built in the early 50's when cars were alot narrower than todays.
I have so far found 3 or 4 different models
Abbey Iona
Compass Lynx
Luner meteroite
I have heard that Adria do narrow vans as well..but my information keeps varying. on the actual width.
I hope somebody can help thankyou in advance,
Adam & Rose

The new Venus caravans by Lunar are 6' 10" wide, so may just fit where you want to put it.------------- The Chinster.
Some people are just all show. I don’t mind that if the show is worth watching but ….

Because of similar restrictions, we have an Abbey Iona. A lovely little van, but think of the width very carefully, as this is also your bed length that you are making smaller. If you are near six feet tall and sleep across the van, you won't fit in the bed!

We have a Trigano Silver 310TDL, we have very narrow access to our back garden where we keep it.
It is 1.8m wide & we sleep down the length of the van, I am 5'5" & just about fit across, my OH is 5'10" & doesn't fit across!
There is a picture on my gallery, as you can see we tow with a Micra (1.5 diesel) so it's lightweight too. It is only a 2 berth but has loo, fridge, hob etc. We love it!------------- Harvey 15.8.1995 - 18.11.2010. Run free, sweet boy x

The Coachman 'Mirage' was definitely 6' 10" wide but the Coachman 'Genius' and 'VIP' models were both 7' 2" feet wide as I have checked in my Coachman 1992 handbook.Post last edited on 02/01/2013 23:06:27

All the Trigano Silver range are either 1.8m or 2m wide.
2m = 6' 6"
If you haven't seen one inside, you are in for a surprise. As Angelbox says, the sleeping area is large so no problem.
Love ours, and so easy to tow. No need to worry on windy days, very light, and give excellent mpg, and very well made.

The Kip caravans have full sized beds and make up into large doubles down the length of the caravan. My caravan (very old, 1982) has a door at the back, no loo shower space though, but two full 6ft2" beds at the front. It's only 6ft wide as well!
Would love to replace with a Trigano or Fleurette, but too expensive for me.-------------
