Join SwiftTalk and check serial numbers of the stirling because some 2011 models had damp issues and were subject to recall either at the factory or approved workshop depending on how bad it was So make sure its been done or checked

Agreed. A lot of 2011 vans gained damp from a production line issue, which requires new skirts on both sides. Any damp should have been found during annual services, but not all owners keep up to these. Although Swift advertise a 10 year water ingress warranty, this only applies to the first owner. Thereafter its 6 years, so 2011 vans will be running out soon. Whatever you choose, get it inspected for peace of mind (and your wallet)

Doh! just realised this old...

Oops sorry folks regarding my previous post I meant to say 'slide out extension on kitchen worktop' to increase the space for chopping/preparing food. Some vans have a 'pop up' extension but I think this encroaches into the lounge seating area when folded down. A slide out out version might be at a slightly lower height but that's ok and less obtrusive when stored. Sorry for the initial ambiguity.

We have series 1 Valencia 2011.

Serviced yearly, so far no issues with the dreaded 'D' word. As others have commented issues with nose weight and problems with the wheels. As always check wheels before every journey and should be okay. Alde heating is fantastic.

We love our Bailey, we have either been very lucky, fortunate or both. That's why we haven't changed it as most manufacturers have had one issue or another.

Just personal choice.
