Hi all,

collecting new van in about 4 weeks and considering the above.

Any thoughts about paintseal or supaguard and is one better than the other?

Paintseal is £399 for interior and exterior

Supaguard £295 all in

We have always used Paintseal. Saves a lot of work on cleaning as the marks just wipe off.

Last van was 4 years old and looked like new when we sold it.

No experience on Supaguard.

Neither as both are a waste of money and both need to be "toppped up" each year. A good polish like Autoglym or Mer does the same job for a lot less.

another vote for paintseal I had our van done from new,only have to wash it with the cleaning fluid they supply and it looks good as new, a quick wipe with their cleaner removes any black streaks and I must say they are few and far between compared to my last caravan.also it's guaranteed for 5 years.

I also spoke with Paintseal and they explained the differences.

Its Paintseal for me !

For info of people thinking of having done the Supaguard is a wax coating that will need to re-applied whereas the paintseal is a teflon coating that will actually seal and does not need to re-apply, also it appears that the supaguard for the interrior smells and therefore of you are sleeping on it may cause issues (allegedly!)

Apparently the paintseal comes from Dupont in USA (which I know to be a very reptuable company as I do alot of work in USA) and they actually give paintseal a 10 year warranty so to a degree they are underselling and covering their backs but 5 years is a lengthy time for £399
