Our new van has arrived at the dealer's and we are hopefully picking it up on Friday.

Thanks all, it's a Sterling Elite Explorer, nearest equivalent to our stolen Overlander. Will have to get used to the different layout, the other van had an L shaped lounge which we liked but can't get.

Thanks all, we are booked on a site called Scotts Haven not far from Portsmouth for Easter, if the weather is good we might go over near Dorchester after that and stop near Thame on the way back. If the weather is good before that we might go somewhere, who knows?

Re. insurance, they are paying for the van itself and the mover, does anyone know if they (CC insurance) should pay for other equipment such as gas bottles or do we?

Hi Mrs Bonce, how exciting, We collected our then new caravan in February a few years back and we didn't even take it home.
We hitched up at the dealers and went straight to a site five miles away and stayed 2 nights
We were so excited we didn't want to go home.

Congratulations, picked mine up yesterday after cancelling picking it up for two weekends because of weather. Did you get a full payout from insurance so you can replace everything inside ? It's suprising how much stuff you collect in them, I  got a shed full to go back in.

 Enjoy your new caravan have a play with it before you go away.

Think I am going senile (OH says I am), as we already received a cheque for contents. Just queried whether we have to pay for battery and gas bottles with the dealer. The insurance policy states that equipment is covered but the dealer has quoted prices for these.
