We collect our very first caravan 20th Feb and would like to go away for a couple of days to try everything out. Any ideas where we could go as the sites we had in mind do not open until March/April. We don't want to go to far as never towed a caravan before. We are not far from Watford.

hi sue if i were you id go somewhere not too far from home on first outing that way youll get the feel of things with towing and then you once on the site you will be able to get to know how things work on your van .happy caravanning im sure you will like it.wish wed have done it years sooner than we did

It wouldnt be so daft to 'test everything out' on your own drive. When we got our first van, we had a trial run in the back garden where it was parked. You can go on a 'towing trial' anytime.
