Sorry Julia i seem to have hijacked this thread !!..... With a wet room, i guess you have step on the wet shower base to use the loo ? Surely this cannot be good for the base ?especially after a few beers and in your 50's ... and does the shower curtain stick to you when in use ? again i hate that too. "Easily pleased ain't i"
Thats ok i don;t mind! gives me more info too when people answer your questions
The onlyt hing i would say is surely you could wipe up the wet when you have finsihed showering before you use the toilet??
we are planning on just using teh shower for the kids to be honest and using the facilites on site. They have always been really good when we have camped before.

Here is a photo of wet room floor.
There are channels in the floor so in theory you can keep the floor on the toilet side dry if you are careful(the toilet swivels so your feet can face the door(not a nice site)) but tbh all it takes is a quick wipe over with a chamois and all is fine. I shower in the morning so no problem with a few beers and if are drinking that early then you have a problem!!!
I know what you mean over the sticking shower curtain. You may be able to replace this with a more substantial curtain that is not as clingy.
On the plus side there is plenty of space to fit a heated towel rail. Here is one I fitted earlier.
Another vote for Adria. We have adora 532 uk and have had it for three yrs now having had the bailey pageant Bretagne equivalent set up for three yrs.. Although we enjoyed the bailey would never go back now. Adria tows much better something to do with suspension oh says and he hated towing the bailey cos it bounced with our set up. We changed as our boys got bigger, the fixed bunks would prob take adults and it feels like a room not a corridor. Ours has an oven and grill only missing the microwave which I never used anyway. Only slight issue is the make up of the double bed which is a bit like the krypton factor! We have got round this by having an ikea mattress topper with fitted sheet on it and we keep the bed made up as whenever we go anywhere we have the awning up and we just all lounge on it on top of a blanket if we watch a film. Quite cosy really and it suits us cos we are just four and can eat at the dinette or in the awning. We will keep this van forever, perfect for us. We use facilities on sites not our shower so can't comment on that.
:)
We got a 542dt last October. Very happy with it. Lightweight but good build quality. Bunks are good size. Our vectra estate 1.9 diesel pulls it fine. Got ours from venture caravans and they have lots on display.
Itinker - can I ask for your advice re awnings for the 532uk. As mentioned earlier just bought one for our first van and pick it up in a couple of weeks. We definately need to invest in a full sized awning and possibly a porch awning for short / weekend trips. Glad you are pleased with yours. We loved the layout and feeling of space and the boys had plenty of room on their bunk beds too :0)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
