i have a seasonal pitch but we don't have serviced water or drainage,no worries you may think,
but i would like to know your thoughts on having a larger water hog say 80 litres, as this would save time, and because it stays on site means there would be no weight issues related to touring.
also i cant think of any real reasons why these are not made, surely one aqua roll is better than having two and forever changing pump over ect.
better still, can this type of thing be made or bought elsewhere , i know they need to be round but they would still be roll-able even if they were larger.
You are going to be looking at manhandling something approaching 90kg or about 4 sacks of spuds. That is a serious amount of weight to drag along even on the flat. I used to be able to get hold of old juice barrels that contained about 100 l and at one time I considered trying to use one for caravan water but the size meant the water pump hose was too short and it was simply too heavy. I opted for two aquarolls instead which is a lot easier and you can keep one full ready to change over whilst you fill the empty one. You could always set up a gravity syphon between aquarolls if you wanted the extra capacity in one go.
The other issue is the waste water and what you use to take that away in bearing in mind it has to be low profile to allow the water from the caravan to drain into it.

Yeah I know what you mean guys, I was thinking same kind of diameter but longer with the pump in the side.
Just seems to me and most people I speak to that 40 litres is quite easy to get through.
I used to have 2 aqua rolls set up so both were full and one fed the other and I filled them via hose pipe.
Now I have moved pitch I am in between taps and hose is no good and its difficult to lift an aqua roll onto a stand above the other to feed it.
Doh!!!

I can't see why you need to lift one tank above the other as surely it is a lot easier to simply move the water uptake from one to the other as required,
It should be possible to make a syphon that links two tanks so long as it was fairly rigid to keep the pips well submerged. I played with a similar arrangement a while back using a simple hand pump to draw water up into the tubes but I did not get the valves to work correctly and kept loosing the syphon effect. I decided the agro in getting it to work was not worth the bother for little benefit.
If you are on semi permanent pitch why don't you put a big onboard tank under one of the bunks and fill it from aquarolls. CAK Tanks have loads of options for this.
