I noticed some specks of what looks like mould/mildew on the linings of our curtains today. The side curtains are fine, its just the front window ones. I've kept the curtains closed all winter, perhaps that hasnt helped with air movement? Should we be concerned? The rest of the van is fine, nothing on the cupboard doors, inside them, on the walls, upholstery etc.

we had ours dry cleaned to prevent shrinkage,made a good job.not sure but think it was £12 a couple of years ago.

This happened to my brother's van last year. It is stored inside all winter and was as dry as a cork all winter until this time last year and then the curtains got moldy. So we took all the bedding,cushions and curtains out of our van this year just in case. I think it is as the weather starts to get warmer the mold spores awake up again or what ever they do

yes did on ours but made the faded parts in the folds more obvious,can not win.

I dont understand why this has never happened in our other vans although this is the first year we havent had a van with a cover on over the winter. Do you think in future I should just keep the curtains opened with the tie backs on?

Had the same problem and asked service bloke when he came last week. He said our van has a large window and with the sun on it in the very damp conditions this year mould condensation on the windows will have caused mould on curtains. Have put dehumidifier (Kampa one with crystals) on front cabinet and this seems to have prevented any more forming.

thanks ct955, we have a couple of rechargable mini dehumidifiers in there. Have taken the front curtains off for now and will do ever winter.
