I have a jockey wheel the top half of which is loose.i therefore intend to use the spare top half(I.e.with the winder) I have from a pneumatic wheel I never took to.
MY QUESTION REALLY IS----CAN I SWOP TOP HALVES OF THE JOCKEY WHEELS BY UNWINDING THE WHEEL SO IT DROPS OUT AND THEREFORE JUST TIGHTEN THE NEW TOP HALF.IS IT THAT EASY. ARE JOCKEY WHEELS JUST IN TWO PARTS ?
Any help appreciated?

Yes! I've done exactly that due to punctures on pneumatic wheels. Just unwind and you'll be fine.

yes you must make sure the screw is the same size,if not it can fall out or unscrew itself.i have changed a couple of times on my trailer.
