hi poppydog we have had our xplore 302 for just 12 months like you it was our first caravan went from the camplet to the caravan, we have used it all year round and we love it, our awning is a royal winsdnor 260 it came new with the van it covers the window, we have brought a sun canopy for the van this year and will be using it for the first time this month when we go to ebury hill, there is a separate flush tank for the toilet where you put the pink stuff, the pump is submerisble, the hitchlock you need is a stronghold winterhoff hitchlock you will get them from go outdoors for 74.99,have just insured our for 183.00 through mycaravan insurance and yes you do get a better price insurance for locks and if your storage is gold or silver, hope this helps enjoy your caravan
I was concerned about awning size as I want to be able to open window in 'van without it hitting the edge of awning, or a pole.
The caravan will be kept at home, so not sure how that affects insurance.
Thanks again!
------------- Yes, the car is bigger than the 'van.
We have the kampa rally 200 and used it for the first time over xmas for a few days, makes a great addition as there isn't a huge amount of space in the caravan. Only used the caravan in winter though so never needed to open the side window
Apart from the damp issue ! we have found the 302 to be great, easy to tow and a doddle to position (no motor movers needed here). Lovely and warm even down to minus 5 deg.
Think we will have to wait until we get the 'van before I can order an awning.OH keeps saying "well we don't know how much room we will need."
We are not the type to sit inside watching a TV, indeed there won't be a TV.
I really am quite excited now...
