Does anyone have any good ideas on how to wash a caravan whilst in storage with no running water? We have no way of bringing it to our house to clean as we live on a main road.
Thanks

We used to take the aqua roll home, fill it with hot water And took it back up to the storage and wash as normal, to rinse off we had one of those large garden sprayers you pump with the long lance type thing on the end, worked a treat for us,
Was a bit of a pain taking the ladders and buckets up there but we didn't have a choice until we moved house,
Hope that helps
Never used dry wash but heard its good so may be worth another look
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
There are various waterless spray methods that are useable.
From my own experience i have the caravan in my drive so i do use old fashioned water and soft brush to wash the van. However at times I use the following which is superb at cleaning the van and also removing black streaks. It also works for the car.
I swear by Showroom Shine from Grease Lightning.
I would say though,if your van is very soiled with algae i would take a 5gallon container of water just to loosen it, to take of the worse then, use the showroom shine.
Its a waterless cleaner polish and though you may think its expensive a bottle goes a long long way.
Fantastic stulf and what a shine on the car and van and it lasts..(will get my coat now )
Same here. Use a garden spray to apply, one side at a time (or half), brush with telescopic brush. Afterwards, rinse using Bobby Dazzler, also using the garden spray.
Sorry but I wouldn't encourage Fenwicks, overrated and over expensive.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Many folk wait until they are on a caravan site and do it. Personally I take a large jerry can of hot water up to storage. Fenwicks in the bucket and tip the hot water in. We have to move our van to an open part of the site as the CC don't like caravans being cleaned next to another caravan. Ladders can topple and scratch the adjoining van. Someone recently used a ladder and put their bucket of water on top of the van next to theirs!!! There's always one spoling it for the rest of us isn't there!!!!

------------- If you're not on a fell your wasting your feet and for 2014 it's.......Feb Castleton Mar North Yors Moors; Apr Sutton on Sea; May Thirsk; Jun Clapham/Riverside (Lakes); July Wharfedale; August Crakehall; Sept Knaresborough; Oct Wirral Park/Clitheroe
we use one of these to wash our 'van while she's in the storage yard
it's a bit labour intensive ( as we have to fill the aqua roll at home prior to setting off )but it do's the job , ours was under £17.00 off fleabay but have seen them on sale for under £20.00 at outlets like towsure and since we started using one several other owners at our storage place have also begun using them too

------------- no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far
we used to use the waterless stuff. It can't be used on windows as you will end up scratching them. Now we get it done as a part of the annual service and then do bits and pieces when away on a site using their water. You could always book into a site for a night. Or if theres a friendly local site, maybe they would let you use their water for a couple of hours for a couple of quid.

We've got one of these too, like you say does job, good exercise too priming it!! I've also used showroom shine dry wash which is bloody good but recently I've got lazy and paid the storage company to clean it..
