   our bailey ranger amp gauge not working both on hook up and when switched to battery any ideas. checked all fuses in box all ok.there is a black plug into a socket with 3  amp fuse any idea what its for. many thanks

Switch can only be set to 12v or mains. We've had it set to mains now there's no reading at all.

Charger could faulty, put a multimeter on your leisure battery when connected to the mains and if reading 13ยท8 volts its ok and if not you've got problems

we have the ranger 2003 500/5.the volt gauge will only come on when the 12 volt switch is pushed down and the reading should be 12.7 volts if the battery is fully charged.on EHU it should read 13.5 volts to 14 volts.are your mains electrics working when plugged into EHU.ie.sockets.if yes your battery is possibly dead or the charger is not working.think the battery is most likely.do your 12 volt lights work?

If no amps are drawn through an "amp gauge" it will display zero.

By "amp gauge" I am assuming you mean an ammeter which is a meter for measuring amps.

3A fuse would be a bit low for a 12V TV, could be the plug for the charger as 3A at 230V would be plenty for that.
