Mentioned this in another thread that our 2009 Bordeaux has developed a problem with the centre window. We bought the van last year off a couple who had it sited on a seasonal pitch and hardly used it and it had never been towed anywhere as the selling dealer was onsite. We towed it 60 miles home last Oct, then to Kent a couple of weeks later and now to North devon and back.
Looking online it appears to be a recognised fault with the centre window caused by towing into the wind and Bailey modified the design on later Pageants. I've read some owners had the window replaced several times under warranty.I'm guessing as the van is 3.5yrs old Bailey wont want to know and we are looking at the expense of a new window.
We are just back from north Devon and the problem came to light about three days into our stay. All three windows at the front had some condensation inside them which cleared but the centre window has been left with white spots in the centre of the window covering a curved area of approx 15cms.
I am really annoyed about this, its a lovely van and this has spoilt it.

Have you spoken to Kelly at Bailey's as its a recognised problem with their supplier, Polyplastic in Holland? It may well be worth a call or email,(kelly at bailey-caravans.co.uk)
thanks Dave, my OH does some work for Bailey and Kelly is no longer there unfortunately. he is down there next week and will make sure he asks them as I think its ridiculous for a 3.5yr old van to have this problem.

I agree, that is why I mentioned that some failures will take longer than others to show up, the problem only shows when the van has been towed. Good luck to OH next week, keep us posted.
Shame Kelly isn't there any more, best wishes to her as I found her extremely helpful indeed.

thanks Dave, you have been very helpful. Does it get worse if left?
No , I had the same problem with my 2009 Sancerre and although it left a slight mark caused by the pane's of glass touching it did not affect the windows integrity nor did it make any difference when we traded it
I had mine replaced twice under warranty, but my dealer had to go direct to MIRIAD products who supply Bailey. I think you will find the warranty on windows is only 2 years, but here is the link.http://www.miriad-products.com/section.php?xSec=102
When towing if you looked in the mirror you used to be able to see window pop in at 40 mph.New ones are now convexed to stop this happening.
It has been a fault for a few years now.many thousands have been replaced by polyplastic through miriad.the gap in between the two panes is to small and under wind pressure the two panes are rubbing together.this causes a dull patch in the centre of the window.looks like a football has hit it.it is not just bailey but all caravans supplied with these windows.my friends swift was the same.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
it also happened on my coachman, the front window felt like jelly after towing, the dealer didnt even come to look at the problem they just ordered a new window then sent someone out to change it
I've been looking at it again this morning and I'm not sure its what others have described. I can see the reflection of the marks on the outer pane. The marks are white and quite separate, theres no misting or a dull area. The window is also very flexible as in when I push it standing outside it flexes inwards a lot compared to all the others. There appears to be a big gap between the two panes.
OH has rang Bailey, waiting for a reply but I fully expect the answer to be a no.

The second window fitted to mine was manufactured September 2010,which is the modified type.If you look at top of window there is a small oval marker the date is at the bottom of it .1009 denotes manufacture year then month,so windows manufactured after that date should be OK.
they have come apart in places and now have small cracks running up them, but van is now 7 years old. to replace 22 windows is going to cost approx £800.

What you describe is the same problem we have noticed on our 2008 Series 6 Pageant provence. They are tiny white dots as you describe and I have had them looked at by an engineer who confirmed it was the known issue of the panes rubbing. Unfortunatly we brought the van when it was 4 years old and although Bailey have fixed a few small issues under the 6 yr ingress warranty I have had no luck with the dealer in getting this replaced. Thankfully it isn't really that noticable and we have decided to just leave it, rather than pay out ourselves for a new window. The van is due to go in shortly for a new rear panel as its developed a crack on the top curve where it joins the side panel. This is known fault and worth keeping an eye out for....Bailey are doing this under warranty thankfully!
