Hi All,
For reasons that I won't go into now, I need an external power source from my caravan at short notice. I haven't got time to fit one or have one installed so basically, I need an inlet for an extension lead, (I do have a waterproof box made for outside but it does have to be plugged in).
I have looked at feeding the cable up through the air vent at the side of the door mat but obviously, there's going to be cable across the carpet, or tape...
Can cables be fed through the window and would the window still close and be sealed?
I got a flat cable for the TV aerial which is designed for windows but are these available for extension leads etc?
As always, any advice would be gratefully received,

Cheers all,

Andy

You can get a Y splitter that would fit onto the power inlet socket. That would give you an external 16 amp socket that is not protected by your caravan's RCCB or MCB but could feed to a proper RCCB unit.
In my caravan I have a 13amp socket in one of the external boxes. It should be easy to fit one next to the input and that could be protected by the caravan unit

We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
