There arent many plugs in the caravan and I need 2 In the same place for the TV and the TV booster. But what I want to know is, I have bought a Surge Protected 3 way plug adapter, not the ones on the extension lead, the ones that are a square box that just fits 2 or 3 plugs in and the whole thing fits into 1 socket. Now, is this not safe because its being used in a caravan and not in the home, voltage wise or is it a good and safe idea
thanks christina------------- dogscenturion

or replace the single for a double.
a 2 way on a short extension would be better, those blocks put pressure on sockets in the wrong place.

If you are only using it for the TV and TV booster what you suggest would be fine. You will be using less than 1A combined.

As wizzo says, a qood quality adapter used on low current appliances like the TV and booster is not a problem.
Always better to have enough fixed socket outlets but that's not always practical in a caravan.

Only using it for the TV and booster, the only reason is because the worktop where the TV used to go can be used for something else, like the kettle or making the sandwhiches because we dont have enough work surfaces. Hope it will be ok.

Just make sure that you plug the kettle directly into the socket - the adapter will be fine for the tv and booster.

I have used the same one as dogscenturion for about 4 years without any problem, only used for tv/radio but I have used it for the kettle without any problems as michael says it will trip the switch before anything major goes wrong.
