Hello everyone I'm new here! I've just got a new (1993 Abi Ace Diplomat) van and when I looked at the awning its very dirty and needs cleaning, can anyone tell me the best way to clean it, mostly the top, I can probably get away with the front and sides, they are not to bad! and then re seal it, if ness, I can set it up in my garden, Thanks

We have had to clean ours after taking it down in the rain etc, we put the awning in the rail and let it hang down with no poles attached and sponged it down, damp rags, some light cleaning fluid or soapy water . Make sure it dry when u put it away or it will rot.

Do NOT use soap as this will remove the waterproofing. Previous topic here.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

I like Lunarvenus dropped the poles and cleaned the awning hanging from the van, the sides I put flat on the grass. I used pure soap flakes and a soft brush, to clean our Isabella awning, then rinsed it off with a hose, let it dry, hung the sides over the washing line, then I reproofed it, didnt want to chance it wasnt water proof. It was cleaned after we where under trees and got covered in sap. It worked a treat.
