Forgot to take the new battery out the caravan over winter. It's now as dead and on a trickle charge but thinking it will need replacing.
What do you recommend to replace it?

Another battery

Sorry couldn't resist.

A good quality battery with as much amps as you can get would be a start but be aware there was an article on the caravan show on sky a few weeks back showing brand new batteries cut open and they were is a terrible condition. The reason given was old stock sitting in showrooms every battery should have a manufacture date on it. If you want a good deal go on line and Google battery suppliers there are lots of good companies on line offering brand names at very good prices.

recommended replacements for batteries are ,a push bike with dynamo ,a portable wind farm generator .a water powered turbine . etc.

jesting aside give us some more info ,do you have a motor mover ,do you ALWAYS use sites with ehu .

if (1) a heavy duty leisure battery

if (2) a leisure battery or even a car battery either new or s/h .

lesson learned take it off at end of season and leave on trickle charge ,most of us have been there before

Cheers guys. I will defo need a 110 one as I have to use the motor mover to great off and on the drive. Bit gutted really after 7 years to make such a basic error. Currently charging old one and will see how long it lasts moving around the drive.
I have see an alpha battery for £80 anyone tried them?

A reasonable guide to the quality of a lead acid battery is the weight,the heavier it is the thicker the plates the better the battery,

I used a motor mover with an 85 amp hour battery for many years without a problem.

My battery is 75Ah more than 8 years old, I have a motor mover no problems.

Personally, I've always found Numax to be an excellent battery and have used them for a variety of purposes.

As for a supplier (although I realise the Op hasn't asked for suggestion on this), Tayna.co.uk are superb with overnight delivery as the norm and good pricing too.
