I've only had mine for a few months and it has sort of..... died.....
It did use less water than a normal shower head but I found that I was spending longer in the shower to get as satisfying a shower thus defeating the object of the exercise.....
The other day I discovered that my old shower head had an eco setting so I've gone back to it.

If it takes 5 liters of water to wet a body, apply suds and then rinse off. Then that is the amount of water needed. A shower head that delivers less water will need a longer time standing under it.
A few years ago the water company supplied us with a device to fit in our shower at home. They claimed it would reduce water usage, without any noticable reduction in performance, I fitted it, it lasted about 30 seconds before I slung it in the bin. It reduced the shower to a dribble.
I have one in my Clubman. I have a perfectly adequate shower using it and have not perceived that the water is not 'wet' enough. The theory behind mixing air with the water is a sound one.
We have one at home and one in the van, definitely uses less water and the shower head actually feels like I gives off much more pressure than it did before. They are expensive but we are pleased with ours
