Hi all.
We have just bought our first caravan and are thinking of joining either the caravan and camping club or the caravan club. Just wondered if anyone had any advice on which one we should join as we have read mixed reviews in the net? We are a family of 5, 2 adults plus 3 girls aged 17, 16 and 8. We tend to stay local ish for weekends (Yorkshire, Cumbria or Lincolnshire) and then 2 weeks in the summer further away (Cornwall, Scotland etc) Any advise great fully received. Thank you

If you want to stay locally for weekends then a rally field might be a good cheap option. Both clubs do rallies, but the CC seem to be better organized. CC have CLs (5 caravan sites) which are also cheap and have a lot more of them than the C+CC's equivalent, the CS.
Personally, I avoid club sites like the plague. They tend to be expensive and while well maintained, particularly the CC sites, less so the C+CC, they are no better than the majority of commercial sites, many of which are better located, better run and better priced.
If you want to try rallying the club membership is well worth paying simply for that, otherwise, I wouldn't bother with either club.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
