Hi,I hope that you all will be able to help me.I am having trouble with my battery electric's.We pluged in a mains electric,no problam, then swicthed the battery on,and everything worked fine, then decided to flush the water pipes through, and then found that we had no battery electrics at all.we have cleaned the connecters, and checked the fuse, but still nothing.mains working fine
thank-you all for your reply's.
My late husband did all the electrics,in our old van,and I knew how it all worked, but since we sited,we bought a large van,I have not been able to sort the battery electrics out.
our Abbey Spectrum is sited,so the switch is always on caravan.on the control panel, the only lights that are on are, mains, battery, and the charger.the battery was charged at home, then fitted in on arrival, this still reads fully charged.none of the switchies have tripped out in the fuse box,and I am not sure how to get the fuse out,to change it.
The trip switches are for the 240 volt side. The 12 volt fuses are like the ones in a car. Small, push in items. Probably 10 amps in which case they will be red.
if the fuse box is just for the 240 volt side,I have no idea where they could be.There is no inline fuse from the battery, and we have looked everywhere, for a fuse box for the 12 volts
there is usually a fuse marked battery in the distribution box (fuse box) but there is also an inline fuse between the fuse box & the battery this usually located around the back of the battery box. with this blown you will hve no 12v only 240v
