She poured it in via the top, will that make any difference? I will warn her about the fizzing thing. Shes got two little boys the last thing she wants is bleach singed willies or bums.
The'van is parked right next to a wall so can't get the cassette out at the moment and have pured a load of water in to dilute it for the minute.
a note for the future,if you read the thetford site instructions it tells you not to add any blue or chemicals through the top as this can damage the toilet shutter rubber.once this seal has gone closing the toilet could be a problem because the seal is swollen.plus if you cannot shut the blade your toilet cassette will not come out to empty.

Yeah we found that out about the blade on our first trip out this year with our own 'van. I'd been meticulous in prepping the 'van to lay idle for the winter months but didn't oil the blade on the loo and it sort of stuck in place over the winter. Then we couldn't open and close it properly and couldn't get the tank in and out correctly.
It's working fairly ok now but looks like we need a new seal bit as ours on its way out.
