Hi
I know I'm probably been a bit thick but we are newbies to caravaning having just 'upgraded' from a tent. We are looking to buy a porch awning for the caravan and the one we have seen advertised on eBay states it for a caravan with a 'lower channel', we aren't sure what this means if anyone can help!
Many thanks (again!)

sounds like they mean the awning will only fit a caravan with a very big slope on the rail.i would not buy it you need a straight fitting one for a normal awning rail.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Hi Paul, Awning sizes over the years have changed from 230cm to 250cm measured from the highest point to the ground, 230cm and 250cm, so a 230cm would be a little short on a rail measuring 250cm.
The correct way to measure is as in the pictures. [/IMG]. [/IMG]
A lot of Avondale caravans had a low roof which made a standard awning difficult to tension without having it angled down to the caravan roof where rain would form a puddle. Sounds like this awning is for such a caravan
