Good morning.

I was wondering if anybody had replaced a pump in their Thetford toilet.  Whist checking my 8Yr old van over, I found that the electric flush was not working.  I checked the 12V supply & then the fuse, which had gone.  I replaced it & it went again when I pushed the button.  I then guessed that either the pump (motor) has failed or the tank is leaking onto the pump/motor?  I removed the top plate with the button in it, thinking the pump maybe under it but looking from the outside, I guess it is on the LHS of the unit up inside or mounted on the tank.  Looking through the outer door I see about 4 screws down each side that seem to hold the back cover (inner) to the main bowl moulding & there are a couple of screws through the cover at the top, under the switch panel, to a moulded bracket.  Would removing those get the back cover off & give me access to the tank/pump>

Could anybody recommend a place for parts as well?

Many thanks in advance

Marco

If I remember correctly the pump is accessed through the top hole under the switch. Pump will be at bottom the tank attached to a hose. Before you buy a new pump try rotating the rotor on the current one they are known to jam, that is what happened to mine.

Thanks Steve - looking at the Thetford site, I think mine is a 200CWE....guess which one they dont have repair instructions for !!!!  However, looking at a latter one suggested the pump was clipped in on the back mouldind & thus you needed to take out the whole unit to access.
