Up until yesterday we used to keep our beat up old Abbey Rallyman single axle on our drive but have now moved it to a storage place.
Apparently we need to have it insured.
The van is really worth very little, being a hand me down from my parents and was built circa early 90s (need to check.
Where can I get the cheapest possible insurance for it to cover third party issues. The van is not valuable enough to insure for itself having suffered a few bodywork scrapes prior to my ownership of it.
Just about any insurer who does caravans. Shop around on here and caravan clubs if you are a member. We use CC for our elderly caravan and it is about £50 but you can get cheaper I'm sure.
I found the Caravan Club to be the cheapest when looking for insurance for my 44 year old van.
I found a lot of insurers wouldn't even give me a quote as I have such an old caravan.
Thanks guys.
I did a search using gocompare and nobody would ensure it because it was either over 20 years and / or only had a hitch lock.
I understand I would have to join the CC to insure with them?

Most storage owners would request proof of insurance in case of an accident on site and I agree with this. Look on Preloved for a wheel clamp.
