I have decided to take out the carver 1800SC fire in the caravan and in taking it out have found there is no isolation tap to it but looking under the caravan is a T piece, have removed the fitting to the T piece to check on the size and its a wade fitting 5/16 ths - I have tried looking on the net for a blanking nut as this would be the simplest way, rather than mess about with olives etc BUT can only find the male stop ends, im wanting a stop end that would have thread on the inside like a nut with a blanking at the end of the nut if that makes sense?
Will take a picture to show what I mean - if you click on this link you will see what im looking for, perhaps its that i don't know the name of the part and am searching for the wrong thing.

Can you braze, or solder copper?

If so put the olive end back in the T and tighten. Cut the pipe leaving a inch stub.

Clean the end of the pipe, using grips, pinch the end tight together and braze it up.

If you can't braze, I'm happy to do it for you. Cut the pipe and post it to me.

This is how we seal air conditioning pipes.

I suppose I could take out the 3 way and fit a joint but not sure on the size although the T junction says 5/16 so I suppose its 5/16
The suggestion by suggett1976 seems to be a good one as i don't have to disturb the T connectors.

Whichever way you bite the cherry you need to check for leaks after, so simplest and best method is remove the 'Tee' and fit the body of a straight connector in it's place.
