Please help

My Rinnai 58e water heater heat exchanger has developed a coupe of splits (not drained last winter.....oops)

Does anybody know which metal the heat exchanger is made of & whether these can be (successfully) repaired i.e by soldering.

Thanks, in advance, for any help/advice

The casting is made of alloy, so it can be welded up.
