We have just collect our caravan back from a service, and I asked them to check the mover for me, as sometimes it needs to stop for a bit of a 'breather' before continuing its task.
The approved Service Centre that we use say that the mover itself is fine, its the Leisure Battery thats not got much of a charge in it. This is very strange, as when at home (and on most sites) we are on EHU, so when we pack away to hitch up, the caravan's volt metre is always well into the 'green zone' at around 12-14 amps, so how can this mover stuborness be down to the Leisure Battery?
The battery was new when we bought the caravan in June 2009, all my previous caravans had batteries that lasted much longer than this, although this is the first one I have owned with a Motormover fitted.

A motor mover requires a lot of power, so an elderly leisure battery may well struggle, especially as you say it needs a breather - it needs the breather because it is no longer able to meet the high demand in one go.
Thanks people, as we are planning to trade this Caravan in as soon as the 2014 stock arrives, we might as well just leave this one on to let the dealer sort it out, and have a shiny new one fitted to the next caravan, the mover is not really essential at home if we have a bit of help, and if we pick our pitches carefully, we should be ok to get by until September
Im just glad thats its the battery and not the Mover, as we plan to have this transfered over onto our new caravan after the dealer informed us that he would not pay any extra in part exchange just because our caravan had a mover fitted.
