I've seen a couple of caravans advertised there recently that i like the sound of and wondered what they were like to deal with - anyone on here had any recent experience?
I'm assuming you are speaking of South Yorkshire caravans of dinnington? As there is a Yorkshire Caravans in Bawtry, different companies, similar names.
Dinnington, I have not bought a caravan from there but looked round many when looking to change our van. Every member of staff took their time with me and were lovely and patient with even the silliest of newbie questions. I didn't buy from there in the end but if they had the van I wanted then I possibly would have done. I have bought things from their shop and again the staff are more than helpful.
Bawtry, again, not purchased a caravan from there but I did buy an awning. Their staff were very informative and helped me choose the right one for us. I did buy an inner tent on the advice of one of the sales people but it didn't fit. Although I had taken it out if the wrapper and tried to put it up, they gave me a full cash refund when I took it back explaining that I bought it on advice from their staff. It would fit the kampa rally 260 but not the 260 plus so an easy mistake to make as they are the same awning, just that one has a removable panel for the annex. A very close friend of ours has done lots of business with this company and has bought a caravan from them. He continues to do business with them so I can only assume he is pleased with their service too.
Thanks RobDawn - that's a very good reminder about exactly why it's a very wise idea not to hand over money until the van is perfect and ready to go, no matter how reasonable and trustable the salesman seems :-(
