Hi all, hope someone can help.
I have become a little obsessed with finding out how old our new old caravan is!
The paperwork states chassis no is F83/612703.
Does this mean it's 1983?

I have a hand-typed instruction sheet for the heater dated Sept 81 and a service sheet from 1987 and incredibly, the owners handbook which is dated 1982!

Lisa

Faced the same situation with my Lunar. Was advised to contact manufacturer, did so and not only informed as to the year but were able to supply the appropriate User manual. Try it.

If if it aren't totally broken its probably best left alone.

Ta, hadn't thought of that. Just a thought, being a Sprite, didn't CI go kaputt, isn't today's Sprite a different company?

I think Sprite is part of the Swift group but could be wrong.

If it is a Swift now then their web site and downloads are great.

Thanks to both of you, I did see that post earlier Michael and working backwards (disregarding the 'I') it does indeed work out to be a 1983 van. I think I'll go with that for the time being.
She's almost as old as me! I wonder how long until she's vintage? One thing is certain, I'll be vintage before the van is. ;)
