I didn't bother with the racing today, too wet and windy.
I am going to take my new Orion for its first outing next weekend. Just up the road a bit from me, Royal Umpire at Croston between Chorley and Southport
Well we are all set up in the new Orion. I have unclipped the bin from inside the door as with the porch on the door only opens just past 90 deg. What a bast**d of a job it was removing the polythene from the floor, it went under the furniture. I forgot my mallet so I battered the awning pegs in with a spanner.
I love the big single front window, it reminds me of the ABI Transtar and Perle Argos we used to have. why did caravan makers think it was a good idea to fit 3 tiny front windows?
Back home from first trip in the Orion. I have switched around the Whale heater switch and the tv aerial socket so I don't have to reach behind the tv to switch the heater on. I have also neatened the heater tubes under the bed. I think I may swap the wardrobe door around so it is easier to get into the wardrobe
thats a good idea about wardrobe door...going to suggest that to the husband creature!!

Sounds like you've had the first lovely trip of many in your new toy :-) Have fun customising it to meet your needs - I'm having all on figuring out where the cereal's going to go, let alone re-hanging wardrobe doors!!
I swapped the wardrobe door around. I just unscrewed the hinges and catch plate from the frame, spun the door over so the top became the bottom, and screwed it back on. total time to do the job about 5 minutes. I can now see into and reach into my wardrobe.
I also decided the carpet was going to live in a cupboard at home. Dogs with muddy feet, humans with muddy feet and a light carpet don't mix (and it saves 6Kg)
Glad you like your Orion. We have the 460-5. We think its the best layout for our family (2 adults & 2 lofty teenage boys) because the kids beds are a decent size and they convert into a second lounge for day use. Seems to us the more expensive vans are less practical for families like ours. Hoping you have as much fun with your new van as we have had with ours!
------------- Why am i doing this instead of camping??!!
You should get an advisory job with Bailey Andy, looks like they could do with some help with the little touches that make caravan living a little comfier, but just wondering if changing things effects the warranty agreement,by the way I'll be up your way in two weeks time,Dale hay farm in Ribchester, looks as tho I've picked the wrong week
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
