Hi,I was just wondering if anyone cleans the fresh water lines on their caravan when they take it out of storage after a long period on down time,and if they do what doe they use to claen them?
I only ask as we have just bought a caravan that has not been used for over a year.

We sterilise our water system and barrels 2 or 3 times a year, always at the start of the season, we use Milton, diluted in the barrel, pull through with the pump, leave for 30 mins then flush through with 2 barrels of clean water, our water barrels are 50L, lots of different products on the market to use, specialist ones for caravans, beer sterilising stuff all sorts, everyone has their preferred method, if you have a water filter fitted make sure you replace it after, again personal choice lots of people remove their filter totally, replace it with a blank etc but we replace it as only £10 each and done 2 or 3 times a year and we do drink the water from the aquarole but lots of people don't
