I have an 83 ci Europa 5 berth which I have 90% restored. However due to work commitments etc i simply do not have the time to enjoy her anymore.
I don't want to scrap the old girl as she has a few good yrs left in her.
The problem is , do I advertise her as a classic or simply a 30 yr old van.
I can't find another on the net. Not even a photo or specs.
Your opinion on how I should advertise her would be great fully appreciated. I don't want to mislead anyone bit on the other hand, I don't want to give her away.
Cheers
------------- September 27th. I'm going away. Don't care where. Just going!!!!
HI.. Caravans from 1970--2000 are known as CRAPPY CARAVANS on this site.(mines a 1997 reg). if its not nearly brand new then its CRAPPY. hahaha. only kidding.?...no its true.

If you want to call it a classic you can, whether it actually is would be arguable, same as a 70s Morris Marina, is it a classic because it is rare, 99.9% of them having rotted away yrs ago or is it just the heap of c**p it always was? So advertising it as a classic is not really misleading because it does not alter what it actually is, the buyer can decide.
Old caravans restored to a high standard usually fetch a good price on ebay so auction is probably way to go with plenty of pictures & a detailed description of work done.
You could call it vintage classic, anything over 25 years now is classed as vintage ( I buy and sell retro vintage items) and people love these things it's a nostalgia thing, I think at 30 years old she will bring back many fond memories for someone :)

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
Everyone else selling a caravan from that period calls them "classic" so I don't see why you shouldn't.
To me it's just an old useable caravan that could bring some family on a budget loads of fun.
