At the moment I have a Quest Windemere 350, It is just the right size, 350mm x 250mm.
However it has an annoying problem, the roof poles have a hook which fits into a hole in a rubber buffer sewn to the inside of the beading. the problem is after a little jiggling from the breeze the rubber rides round the hook allowing the hook to contact the van side. (annoying with an old van, its not allowed to happen on my new one) last week used cable ties and gaffer tape to stop it happening.
Any one have a good idea?
I may even replace the awning, the Outdoor Revolution Compactalite 325 carbon looks a decent bit of kit, any one got experience of these awnings? or other suggestions. 260s are too small and 390s are too big.
If I get a new awning this Windemere will be up for grabs, say £50
I have solved the problem, a piece of plastic tube over the hook stops it going too far through the bracket.
But I had a look at a Compactalite Pro Carbon 325.
Its a gorgeous bit of kit................................................
And....................................................
I bought one, so this is up for sale.
