I used a soft broom and hose but only could clean bits of roof I could see, done the same with the sides of van.

This may sound daft but whatever you do, please DONT use a pressure washer, I have seen quite a few peeps use them on caravans and they run the risk of blowing the seals.

I think the worst part is that a lot of the times, the damage isn't even obvious. Sometimes the seals can get damaged but not severely which lets mould and all sorts of nasty things fester.
