Hi, I've recently purchased a Swift Island Jura (2000) having upgraded from a tent and I'm looking to purchase a good porch awning. Does anyone know what the height for this van is? I urgently need to order the awning today for delivery Friday.

Thanks

Lisa

We have 2001 Jura & external height is 8'11" or 2.71m.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Lynne

Hi Lynne

Did you have problems getting an awning to fit the height? I've noticed that most porch awnings fit height 235-250cm but our caravans are 271cm. What awning do you use?

Thanks

Lisa

Just to chip in, is the height quoted above, the correct height, which should be the vertical measurement from ground to awning rail only?

Manufacturers quote height in their spec as overall height, which includes roof mounted protrusions such as chimney flue, TV aerial etc.

Hi Lisa

We use a sunncamp scenic porch awning for weekends away and it fits our van very well and only takes 10-15 mins to put up (lightweight material).  For longer runs we use a full Dorema awning.

The Jura is a special from Knowepark Caravans in Livingston.  You can give them a call on 01506 411 827 or email sales at knowepark.co.uk. and they should be able to give you all the info you need, we use them and I've always found them very helpful.

Lynne

Hi Lynne

Thanks for this info. I did call Knowepark Caravans today but the woman said they could not provide me with this information and told me I would need to measure my caravan (even though they have he same model on their used sales list). The problem is that the caravan is in storage, which closes at 7pm so I've not got home from work early enough to get up to measure it and I needed an awning to take with me on Friday.

I have been looking at the Kampa Fiesta 270, Kampa Rally 260 and Sunncamp Ultima 260.
