We are hoping to go to Dalraddy Holiday Park near Aviemore on the Dalraddy and Alvie Estate. We will be traveling from the Edinburh area but are fairly new to caravanning this will be our third trip away. Has anyone ever been and if so what are the approach roads like as we recently went to Ardguailich Farm at Loch Tummel and on the approach road according to the sat nav we had almost a mile to travel but on the approach road you are pretty much on the turn off for site before you know it. I also tend to take a print out from the AA route planner when we go away as well as OH using sat nav. Any info regading approach roads to Dallraddy Holiday Park would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Roads are fine. Double track, although a little twisty in places, still plenty of room on the road. It's the old A9 so OK for vans as artics used it years ago.
Your satnav may turn you off at the Kingussie junction but if you want less time/miles on the old road, carry on to the junction just south of Aviemore and turn off there.
BTW, Dalraddy is a lovely site, we were there at the beginning of June.

I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Thanks for your reply macquatic. I think our biggest fear being new to caravanning is missing or being taken on a road where unable to turn....nightmare. Looking forward to going as it seems lovely....always glad when we arrive on site as we can then relax.
