Hello, we've had a problem with our Truma SE motor mover today - only one side is 'driving' the caravan. Its a 2nd hand mover and we've had it for just over 2 years.
We cannot decide whether to have it repaired or put the money towards a new mover. We have found the P1 mover online - has anyone got any experience of this mover please. The next best looks to be the PowerTouch Evolution.
We have an upward gradient of 16% on our drive and to be honest the Truma has struggled with this so we have to decide which to go for. Any experience people have had with this type of gradient and movers would be appreciated.

Have you checked the electrical connection on the motor which is not working. This is a common fault on movers where they work a bit loose.

every chance that the two wires going to the motor have got dirty/corroded on the contacts.just wiggle the wires a bit.see if it works.if not remove wires and clean contacts on the motor.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

looks like the drive pin has snapped.
you need an engineer to change it.

Thanks for your help Michael, I've contacted a mobile caravan engineer this morning, waiting to see when he can go out to have a look at it.

Hi lassie if its anything like our purpleline Enduro EM103, where we had a similar problem recently it does sound like a drive pin/dowel has become loose/free. Its an easy job to replace if you/or other are competent enough to remove the unit from that side. A dowel pin can be obtained from a decent motor factors or engineering work shop. I got two which were 40mm x 8mm diameter and cost about 50p each. its much easier and cheaper than the £500+ for a new mover. hope htis helps..
