How do other people manage to put their caravan cover on and avoid damaging the TV aerial? We have one of those that looks like a flying saucer but on the top is a pointed part that looks as if it could easily snap off.
Any suggestions welcomed!

I'm not completely certain, but I thought I read somewhere that the pointed bit unscrews on the omni directionals?

As per Dave11, then a pice of old carpet underlay will stop it fraying the material. An inverted plant pot with some rubber seal round the rim over the flue also works.

you need a step ladder and just unscrew the pointed bit.
