We took the 2 inch toppers off of our bed and shoved them onto our bed seats for the duration then take them home again. We sit on them all the time  which has our 2 sleeping bags opened up like duvets tucked underneath and 2 crocheted covers in patchwork design.

 We have to have them not only for having osteo-arthritas throughout my bones but also I have to sleep with a 5ply board on top of the bed slats to make the bed firmer yet softer at the same time.

Great for us both.Would not be without them on hols.
