I have seen THIS I know there are other entries on here for this subject but is 3cm a suitable thickness and are they worth buying?

this one?

3cm is only 1" thick, so it depends on how much padding you are wanting over and above the mattress. I would go for 2-3" myself.

Maybe worth thinking about, as was thinking of solution to making the bed everyday. Currently using a flannelette sheet with a kingsize fitted sheet on top. bit labour intensive. Was thinking maybe sleeping on top of a duvet in a cover, that way can just throw it on and will hopefully make the lumps and bumps a bit less.
This topper with a washable cover could be ideal. Would probably need a kingsize though. Will check out the website.
Thanks

We sleep on top of a duvet which I think is enough although OH moans a bit. My 8 year old just has a fitted sheet on top of the cushions and he says it's comfy! Strange child!

Mattress topper takes a lot of stowage space. Single sleeping bag opened out underneath a double sleeping bag with sides zipped down worked well for us till we got Duvalays (Which also take a fair bit of stowage...).

We never use half of the underbed storage, but was a bit worried about the weight more???
Al+mel - we really need to get a life don't we - got to stop meeting like this.... Ha ha ha. Think we are addicted to UK campsite.

You are right! But its raining, we can't get away this weekend and UK campsite is the next best thing and .. and ..addictive too. (Must get a life mumble.. shuffle...)

Memory foam is pretty heavy, a duvet or spread out sleeping bag would be almost as good as 25mm foam, and much faster to make up and put away than sheets.
