Just bought our first 2 birth. Its a Compass Vantage mid 90s . Any advice welcome. One thing i was told by the seller was the window sun blinds which are very reflective can reflect the heat back onto the window and cause damage, which begs the question Why make them reflective ?
As the windows are nearly 20yrs old it appears the seller is wrong. Blinds are reflective to reflect the sun, quite effective at keeping interior cooler in direct sunlight.
I leave mine closed when the van is not in use(concertina blinds not the tensioned ones) but always leave a gap of about two inches as someone told me the heat can damage the windows. Don't know how true it is however.
Errrr... Think he was merely searching for something else to tell you.
I very much doubt that a thin foil sheet would reflect the Summer sun to such an extent.
Even in Southern France, we have never seen any evidence of damage to windows from the heat or UV being reflected by tin foil blinds.
Better advice may have been how to load it, tyre pressures, nose weight, how to plumb in fresh water, waste water, switching heaters on/off etc., when brakes were last serviced, when it was last greased underneath...
Anything you are pondering can easily be answered.

We have the same type of blinds and leave them down when the van is not in use in direct sun shine and have never had any issues as others have said a bit of banter by the seller. Pull them down in the sunshine and you'll be fine
