One of my overhead cupboard stays (shown in the link) has broken and no longer supports the cupboard door and needs replacing but after looking on the internet they seem quite difficult to obtain. The one shown in the link is currently out of stock but does anyone have any idea as to where I might be able to purchase from?
I have already tried Ebay with no listings of this particular item and also visited leisure shop direct too (madasaman link) prior to asking on here but they don't stock this particular cupboard stay either. Thank you both anyway.
I have just tried Jacksons of Old Arley who stock all sorts of caravanning spares but apparently these particular stays originally manufactured by Astay were taken over by a company called W4 but ceased production about 10 years ago so are now obsolete. So if nobody on here knows of anywhere that has a few odd ones lying around somewhere just gathering dust then I may have to remove the broken one and replace with a different type.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I knew someone had to have some on the shelf somewhere in the UK, it was just a matter finding out who and where. I'm glad I asked on this forum now so thanks again and much appreciated.
Yes I agree madasaman and have already asked about combined postage costs so I'm awaiting their reply to see what the postage costs involved are first.
I found my previous post from last time as Jeff helped me find the part I needed (And yes, I still owe him a bottle of Scotch, lol) but I'm back again with the same dilemma as one of the other overhead cupboard stays have now broken and need replacing but can't find a replacement anywhere.
The cupboard stay was made by ASTAY which are now obsolete so rather difficult to obtain, however, a picture of the overhead cupboard stay required is shown in the link below which is identical to my original post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't suppose they have to be the same but the OH prefers it that way if possible. If I can't find a replica replacement then I suppose I have no alternative but to replace with a different type of cupboard stay amd if that's the case then I would probably buy a set of seven as that's how many overhead cupboards there are in total as it's pointless trying to replace items that are now unavailable.
