Hello again folks
Just bought a replacement snoopy direct from Power Performance due to problems with my old one which I think was down to me in some instances.

Just wanted to advise everybody about the brilliant service I received and the superb back-up by the technical department answering my inane questions about it.

I was thinking of a Garmin Camper but when you cannot get through to ask about a sale or release date what chance when you need support.
Glad I stuck with Snooper.

Be safe.

I am not familiar with a garmin camper but never found the snooper s7000 I had, to be very intuitive.  The touchscreen needed a stylus as it was one of the least pleasant to use.  The caravan setting could still lead me up impossible lanes.  It is an expensive satnav and I found it less satisfying to use than some much cheaper ones.

These days I use my smartphone and it works really well.

I used my iphone to find PowerPerformance and it was excellent but my experience with my previous Snooper always put me at ease when pulling the 'van even in Europe.
I have just moved up to the 7" screen and it is great even with the delivery protective plastic on it (yet to remove it!)
Having the instructions coming through the in-car system is a big improvement.
I have a very old Garmin Streetpilot 3 which has been in cars, on motorbikes and all over the place but the modern Garmin company is not a patch on what it used to be.
A bit like Powrwheel movers. Once great now run of the mill!

Be safe.

Always use the wife, ever reliable, lets me know when I'm speeding or take tha wrong route, surprisingly low power consumption. Only problem, no volume control.

Tony.

Sorry but I too found Snooper overpriced and with very poor software. Bought a Navigon one with caravan features and it knocked spots of the Snooper. If you have got time I would return it. I gather the new Tom Tom one has good reports.
