A dehumidifier is basically a fridge with a fan and it will use a darned sight less electricity to run than a heater. But each to his own.

We have been using our dehumidifier on all our units for over 15 years now and it works a treat.

After being stored outside on a farm for the last X number of years, it is probably in the dry for the first time in its life.

So every day it will be getting some heat, well aired and the occasional couple of days with a dehumidifier on.
