I want to fit a tow bar and 13p electrics to my new Santa Fe. Virtually decided on detachable type with dedicated electric. Any recommendations on types and costs. does the dedicated electrics cut out rear parking sensors?
I have a quote from Witter for £673 which seems a bit costly but is this the norm

I paid £430 for my new hyundai i10. I went witter and detachable. So bigger car etc. £670 don't surprise me.

Hi fitted witter towbar fixed,£96,00 and single dedicated electics £115.00 with free delivery.
Fitted by me and mate,all from pj jones.
Do not miss twin electrics just use twin ice packs in fridge,after 6 hour drives all still perfect in fridge

I was told Witter towbars are a waste of money unless your towing every day of the week as their made for that job.Other makes are just as good for the caravaner who tows now and again.

We have a 2011 Santa Fe and bought a Witter detachable towbar with dedicated electrics from PF Jones. Everything works fine and reversing sensors, foglights etc all cut out as required when the van is attached. when we consider changing the car, we will be purchasing the same type of system.

weve got a new santa fe and had a detachable towbar fitted....not sure how much but got a feeling it was between £400 and £500 and they went to husbands work and fitted it there...never had any problems with it and used the same company a number of times

Just paid £330 for a detachable towbar fitted to my new Ford Galaxy 2.0l - don't know what make it is but the electrics are tucked away nicely and swing out of the way when not in use. Yet to use it but will be next weekend!

We paid £495 for westfalia detachable with 13pin dedicated wiring kit. They could also reprogramme the car so didn't have to pay audi anything. I hate giving Audi any money, thieving little people
