We have noticed that the red light on the flush tank comes on very dim at times and remains on even when the cassette is removed. What would cause this to happen? Also there appears to be moisture in the cassette locker so not sure if a seal has gone although it is only 2 years old.
Secondly our Heki skylight with the fan is becoming very difficult to open. You turn it to open and it is almost as if it is stuck. I am worried forcing it will break the knob. it has already been replaced twice. First time because the controls went ape. Second time because of this jamming thing.

sounds like the seal has gone if you are getting water in the base.easy to do,about £8.remove 8 screws and refit as per removal.the light must have some kind of short or a faulty switch.

Hi iank01,We had a problem with the omnivent hatch sometimes sticking and posted the subject on here not long ago.One of the replies we got was to turn the knob and if it stuck then leave it under tension for a minute or so then try again,it is then free to open.It seems from the replies that this is a fairly common fault.Other replies said to strip the unit down and clean it but we have found leaving it under tension works every time it plays up.Sorry I cannot help with the cassette full light, our light does not come at all, replaced batteries but no joy. When we bought the caravan 7 years ago the engineer that showed us how everything worked ,said "I would not wait for the light to come on".

I remember reading that thread, but could not remember the solution. We have tried tightening and then loosening but to no avail and have to really force it to open. As said it has been replaced for this fault previously. Both the wife and myself have arthritis in our hands, wrists and arms to one jamming is painful.
HI again iank01 When trying to open the omnivent and it jams,do not slacken the knob, just leave it jammed, then after a minute or two you will find that it opens without any resistance. At least that is what we have found.
I had a sticking problem with my Omnivent, I think grease from cooking gets blown onto the bar that the activator slides up & down on. It's easiest if you can get access from the roof but, if like mine, you have to dismantle the fan, blind and whole nine yards to get at it, clean and lubricate it with a suitable lubricant like white lithium grease and all will be well.
